The building is completely self sufficient for all its needs. All power and water is generated on site, it is a passive house design which means no real extra power to heat or cool it and food is produced on site.
The earthship has a sophisticated water system which recycles it as it is processed through the house. This is an extremely innovative system and uses water very efficiently.
